Indian Youth
Conference
D ear W arm Springs C om m u­
nity:
T hank you for all your sup­
p o rt in your assistance in host­
ing the N orthw est Indian Youth
Conference during the week o f
May 27-May 31. T he C onfer­
ence was very successful and our
visiting youth through o u t the
region had very positive com ­
ments.
We, the planning committee,
w ould like to take this time to
thank all o f you for your posi­
tive interaction in making this
event the success it was. We
would also like to thank Tribal
C ouncil for their unw avering
support. T heir active involve­
ments in the activities were much
appreciated and it showed our
community as well as our visi­
tors that you truly do care for
the Indian youth n o t only here
in W arm Springs, b ut all over
Indian Country. T hank you to
the High School Tribal Youth
Council, As young adults, you
have show n great leadership
skills and have shown that our
tribe will be in good hands in the
future w hen you beco m e.o u r
leaders!

yond and we are very apprecia­
tive o f you being out there dur­
ing clean up day. on May 25.

the conference youth. They truly
had a great time. We do recog­
nize your w ork on Council as
youth being one o f your top pri­
orities and the com m itm ent you
make by visiting our youth in
boarding schools as well as all
the w orkshops you attend that
pertain to youth issues. K eep up

you to Bernice Mitchell and her
family for hosting the Wasco

Longhouse. It is truly a blessing

the top for positive interaction

I w ould like to send out my
condolences to my aunties and
uncles and cousins o f the Yahtin
family, and Frank family.
It is a sad, sad tragedy to lose
a loved one. There really are not
any words a person can say that
can express the heart ache and
pain, but being there, except giv­
ing and showing support. H elp­
ing one another. M uch love and
