The Warm Springs community gardèn will
have irrigation water, and will be much larger
next growing season,
Utility D epartm ent workers recently in­
stalled the irrigation Une to the garden, located
in the field by the administration building. The
water will allow the garden to be larger in size
next year.
T he garden, called the Tenino Garden, has
been a volunteer-driven project, with support
from a grant through the O ffice o f Rural
Health, and supported by the Community
Health Improvement Partnership o f Moun­
tain View Hospital.
This year the volunteers planted corn, to-
matoes, peppers, cantaloupe, carrots,'(lettuce,
pumpkins, beans, pea pods, and strawberries.
Children from the Boys and Girls Club planted
flowers.

Departments working together to create the
garden include the Community Health Im ­
provement Partnership, the Diabetes Preven­
tion Program, Utilities, the Community Health
Education Team, Community Counseling, the
Boys and Girls Club, KWSO,. and the OSU
extension office.
