White Buffalos football season kicks off

Football season kicked off -
recently; and both Madras High
.School teams feature several
tribal member players.
Playing, for the varsity team •
is Emerson Culpus, a 16-year-
old junior who plays tackle.
Culpus has played football since
the seventh grade.

Squiemphen, a 17-year-old se­
nior who plays offensive guard
and tackle, and James Scott, a
17-year-old senior who plays
fullback and defensive end.
According to . Squiemphen,
there are various reasons why he
enjoys football.
“It’s a competitive sport; it’s
a contact sport,” Squiemphen
.explained.

Marpn Smith, a 16-year-old
