Iris Anna Smith
Iris Anna Smith o f Warm Springs passed
away on July 4, 2007. She was 75. |
Mrs. Smith was born on April 19, 1932 at
Warm Springs to parents Henry Kalama and
Rose Kuckup.
She married Woodrow W Smith on June 7,
1947 at the W arm Springs P resbyterian
Church. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Smith was a lifetime resident o f Warm
Springs. She was a homemaker and a mother
who also devoted her time to many organiza­
tions, such as the Diabetic Team. She was also
a life member and past president o f the VFW
Elliot Palmer 4217 o f Warm Springs. She was
a member o f the Survivor Protection Team,
and a longtime helper and part o f the Healing
Circle and also the first Wasco Dancer under
Chief Nelson Wallulatum.
Mrs. Smith took in children to her home
and made them feel part o f her famil.
v She worked some years on the Election
Board and for the Natural Resources program,
labeling and tagging fish.
She worked part-time in law enforcement
in Wasco and Jefferson counties, as well as
Warm Springs.
In her spare tim e, Mrs. Sm ith enjoyed
beadwork, root digging, picking huckleberries^
and handcrafts. She liked to go for walks. Most
importantly, Mrs. Smith loved her family.
; She is survived by her children: Warren
Smith, Bruce Smith, Wilma Picard, Clarice
Crane, Lucy Gadberry, Alex Smith, Leminnie
Smith, lis a Smith, Glen “Batman” Smith, and
Ricky Smith, all o f Warm Springs; and 39
grandchildren, and 55 great grandchildren.

Louisa Terese Tuckta
Louisa Terese Tuckta passed away on July
12, 2007, as the result o f a car accident- She
was 31.
Ms. Tuckta was born on July 4, 1976 to
parents Joseph and Margie: (Greene) Tuckta.
She was a lifetime resident o f Warm Springs.1
She attended Madras High School, and was
employed as a deli'worker for Tee Pee E x ­
press.
Ms. Tuckta is survived by her parents Jo -
seph and Margie o f Warm Springs; Children
Rheianna W olfe, Jo sh u a W arner, R obbie
Warner, and Tashawna Tuckta, all o f Warm
Springs; brothers K eno Tuckta, Jerm ayne
Tuckta, Joseph Boise and Keith Charley Jr., all
o f Warhi Springs; sisters Céna Wolfe, Tiyanna
T uckta, Jo le n e B o ise, A u rel Stin so n and
Reanna Charley, all o f Warm Springs. She was
preceded in death by two children.

part o f our team -here,” Fuller
added. “She’s used every edu­
cation opportunity to learn new
things.”
Schjoll is also a good person
in general, Fuller said.
“She’s just an all-around kind
person,” Fuller said. “The pa­
tients really like her— she’s very
friendly.”^
