2006 scholarship award. The scholarship is in
the amount o f $1,000.
This opportunity is for Warm Springs tribal
members who are choosing to further their
education at an accredited secondary learning
institute, as a full-time or part-time student.
Applications will be available at the Warm
Springs Education Building and Kah-Nee-Ta’s
Human Resources office.
Applications must be received by the dead
line o f July 1.
O f those applicants meeting the deadline,
one female will be selected to receive a $1,000
scholarship.

Dale Hall, director of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service,
Washington, DC, visited the Warm Springs Indian
Reservation on May 11. Mr. Hall was at Kah-Nee-Ta
Resort attending the Wildland Fire Leadership Council
field
trip hosted by Bodie Shaw, of the BIA Fire Center in
Boise. Hall toured the fish hatchery and the marking
trailers while the fish were being marked and tagged. In
the photo are Mike Paiya, hatchery manager, Joe
Badoni, fish culturist, Mavis Shaw, assistant manager,
Hall, and Kevin Blueback, fish culturist.
