Free ski day at Mt. Hood
Mount Hood Meadows is in
viting 90 tribal members for a
free ski day on Friday, March
10, which is a no-school day.
This will be a great opportu
nity for young people to enjoy a
day at Mt. H ood Meadows.
Snow conditions are expected to
be superb.
Two Mt. H ood Meadows
busses are scheduled to pick up
tribal m em bers in Warm
Springs at the community cen
ter at 8 a.m. on March 10. The
busses will return to the com-
munity center at 5 p.m. Atten
dance is limited to 90 tribal
members because o f the capac
ity o f the two busses.
Mt. Hood Meadows will pro
vide bus transportation, lift tick
ets, equipment rentals, lunch,
and morning half-day lessons on
a complimentary basis.
The event will again be hosted
in the Snow Blaster room in the
North Lodge, which will be dedi
cated to our use that day. There
will be a lunch from noon until
1 p.m. Busses will reload at 3:15

this month will present Late
Nite Basketball, an alcohol-
and drug-free event.
The event will be from 7
to 11:30 p.m., Friday and Sat
urday, March 10 and 11 at
the Warm Springs Commu
nity Center.
Late Nite Basketball will
feature a dance with live per
formances and special guests.
The event mainly a chance
for youth to play hoops, with
a dance and live DJ provid-

Spechtrum Club, or the Boys
and Girls Club by Wednesday,
March 8 at noon.
This event is dedicated to
kids, but Mt. Hood Meadows
and the tribes are also looking
for chaperones.

activity at the Museum at Warm
Springs from 1 to 3 p.m. on
Friday, March 10, in the mu
seum Education Room. The
activity is, “Crafts with artist
Coralee Popp.”
There is no fee. Just lots of

drafted by state and federal
fish agencies. The revisions
place greater emphasis on
basin-wide restoration o f

vice as tribal employees at
the employee banquets and
awards presentation. Tribal
Council Chairman Delbert
Frank addressed the audi
ence expressing his appre
ciation for the work the
tribal em ployees per
formed.
