School is holding Winter Fam
ily Craft Night on Thursday,
Dec. 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
at the elementary school gym
nasium. ,
Tables will be set up with
craft materials and the event will
be free to the Warm Springs
community.
Assistance will be provided ro
make Christmas ornaments and
decorations.
If you have any questions
about this event, or would like
to help with a donation, call the

Heath.

National Guard Youth Buddy and Maria Hicks.
George Boise just
finished 16 weeks of
basic training with the
U.S. Army. His
training was at Ft.
Benning in Georgia.
He is home until Dec.
21, when he will go to
Hawaii for his first
duty station. There is
a good chance he will
be sent to Iraq in
2006.
Basic training was
hard, especially the
first couple of weeks,
said Boise. Bayonet
training, for two hours
in the heat of the af
ternoon, was the most
difficult part, he said.
Boise is a 2005
graduate of Madras
High School. After
serving four years in
the Army, Boise
plans to go to college.
His parents are
Selena Boise of the
Spilyay Tymoo, and
Tony Boise of Warm
Springs Forest Prod
ucts Industries.

Gift wrapping fund-raiser
The Cultural Bridge Group
will be wrapping gifts in Decem
ber. Gift wrapping is free with
donations gladly accepted.
All funds raised will go toward
a local youth conference to be
held in May 2006.
Gift wrapping will be done at
the Community Wellness Cen
ter on Saturday, Dec. 10.
There will be additional wrap
ping dates in Madras.
The Cultural Bridge Group
is seeking donations of gift wrap,
gift bags and tissue paper, rib
bons, bows and gift tags.
To donate wrapping supplies
or for additional information,
please call Jamasa at 475-0301.

Ruth
Ruth Adams passed away
on November 22, 2005. She
was 64.
Mrs. Adams was born on
January 7, 1941 at Jemez
Pueblo, New Mexico to par
ents Valintino and Lenora
(Toledo) Fragua.
She was married to
Delmar Adams on July 2,
1959 at San Francisco.
Delmar preceded her in
death. Mrs. Adams was a
member of the Warm
Springs Full Gospel Church.
She lived in Oregon for
30 years, relocating here
from Modesto, Calif. Mrs.
Jemez was an enrolled mem
ber of the Jemez Pueblo. She
Adams
enjoyed sewing, cooking, and
being with her family. Mrs.
Adams was known for her
excellent sense of humor.
She is survived by her chil
dren Dead Adams of Burns;
Rodney Adams of Albuquer
que, Thomas Adams of Ma
dras; Rena Smith of Warm
Springs; and brothers Jacob
Fragua of Meza, Ariz.; and
Phillip Fragua of Jemez,
New Mexico; sisters Marga
ret Swazo of Santa Fe; and
Maureen Fragua of Warm
Springs; and ten grandchil
dren. Four brothers and a sis
ter preceded her in death.
