Hello, my name is Kayla Jones. I
am the granddaughter of the late
Hester Carmalita Provo of Fort
Duchesne, Utah, and the great
granddaughter of the late Alice
Bascum Cuch of White Rocks in
Fort Duchesne. I am the oldest
daughter of Flint and Celena Scott,
and I am a resident of Warm
Springs.
I attend school at Jefferson
County Middle School, where I am
on the Student Leadership Counsel.
I am on the honor roll and also par
ticipate in track, cross-country and
seventh-grade basketball. I also en
joy powwows and Fancy dancing.
I am involved in the local and sur
rounding communities, and I am the
reigning Ms. Teen Queen for the
State of Oregon. I am involved with
John Robert Powers Acting Studio
in Oregon and work with acting
agents who also have clientele such
as Hilary Duff. I have earned three
modeling scholarships through pag
eant involvement.
My goals for the future are to
attend Portland State University, and

My name is Rheianna Rayann
Wolfe, or "Tai-Ui-Pum." I was given
this name that belonged to my great
great Grandpa Charley Stacona's
aunt.
I'm WascoYakamaWarm
Springs and 7 years old and go to
school at the Warm Springs Elemen
tary. Cyril Wolfe is my Dad and
Louisa Tuckta is my Mom. I live with
my Grandpa Raymond Tsumpti Sr.
and Grandma Beulah Tsumpti. My
other paternal great grandparents
were Jasper and Elvina Switzler.

great grandma is Norene Greene, and
my grandparents, Margie and Joe
Tuckta. I have three sisters and one
brother.
I really like to powwow dance. I
learned to dance from my Headstart
teachers Shari Macy and Sylvia
McCabe.
I am also taking ballet lessons in
Madras, Oregon and really like it. So
far, I've earned a Perfect Attendance
award once this school year (missing
only two half-days) and earned an Ac
celerated Reading T-Shirt. I'm now
working toward an Accelerated Math
award.
I love to read, draw and play on

I got real excited when Grandma
told me that I was going to run for
Junior Princess for the Lincoln's
Powwow, and I know I'm going to
have fun doing it. I'd like to invite

Hello, my great relations and
community members of Warm
Springs.
My name is Cassi Tanewasha. I
am 12 years old and in the seventh
grade at Jefferson County Middle
School. I am a Junior Queen candi
date for the Lincoln's Birthday Pow
wow, February 11-13, and I am sell
ing raffle tickets with a lot of prizes
and cash prizes.
I am an enrolled member of the
Confederated Tribes of Warm
Springs. My mom is Nellie
Tanewasha and my grandparents are
Pat Tanewasha and the late Lester
Tanewasha Sr. My great grandpar
ents are the late Lavina Quaempts
and Johnny Tanewasha.
In school my favorite subjects
are math, life science, and drama.
But most of all I like to hang out
with my friends too.
My hobbies are Jingle dress
dancing, and playing volleyball, bas
ketball and softball. Most of all I
like to be on my computer and go
ing to powwows.
My interests in running for
Lincoln's Birthday Powwow are that
I am getting to meet relatives that I
didn't know that I had, and getting
to meet new and old friends.

and sovereignty, will be Feb. 11-13 at
the Simnasho Longhouse.
Grand Entry times are 7:30 p.m. on
Friday, Feb. 1 1; 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. the
following day; and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
