Museum hosts holiday events
The Museum At Warm
Springs will host many holiday
events on Saturday, Dec. 18.
These include an open house
with free admission, a bead-artists
art fair in the museum lobby,
and the opening reception of the
Beads To Buckskin exhibit.
The events are from 9 a.m.
to 4 p.m. The bead-artists art fair
features tribal artists who have
items for sale.
The Beads To Buckskin ex
hibit includes beautiful artifacts
from the museum's permanent
collection. Items include beaded
regalia and accessories.
The Museum at Warm
Springs Open House offers free
admission to the public to see
the award-winning museum.
The museum's gift shop has
many holiday gift baskets, and
other unique and wonderful
items for sale for this holiday
season.
The museum is now in its
winter schedule.
It is open Wednesday
through Sunday from 9 a.m. to

Holiday Bazaar is this Saturday
The 29,h Annual Warm
Springs Christmas Bazaar
will be held from 8 a.m. till 4
p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 1 at the
Warm Springs Community
Center, sponsored by the
Warm Springs Recreation
Department.
On hand for the event are
Native American crafters of the
U.S. and Canada and non-Native
crafters of Oregon and be
yond. There are more than 70 craft
stands and a variety of holi
day treats and concessions.
Anyone interested in setting
up a vendor's booth at the ba
zaar should contact the Rec
reation Department, 553-3243.
Course helps with
Central Oregon Community
College Warm Springs branch
hosts a free program to assist
students in the transition to col
lege. The series is in three parts
on the following dates: Jan. 6,
20 and 27.
The program is located at the
education building, second floor,
in the GED classroom.
The first two sessions are in
structed by Marjorie Gregory, '
a longtime COCC employee.
Topics covered include de
ciding on higher education,
choosing a college, picking a
college transition
major and advisor, identifying
funding options, completing
your application, academic re
sources and support services,
and many many other topics.
OSU Extension's Emilee
Hugie will present a cooking for
college course including a cook
book for each participant Jan.
27.
The classes begin at 3 p.m.
and end at 5 p.m.

The Museum at Warm
Springs hosts a mini raffle.
Prizes include:Beaded barrets,
large stuffed snowman doll,
child's folding chairs, needle
point picture frame, gift basket,
turkey dinnerErickson's Sentry,
pillow cases (made by Eraina
Palmer), pine needle basket,
small wapas, beaded keychain
and other items.
Tickets are sold by staff
members at $1 each or 6 for $5.
The drawing is on Dec. 17 in
the museum lobby at noon.
