White Buffalos win Homecoming game
On Homecoming Day the Madras
High School White Buffalo football
squad beat Sherwood, 21-17.
Madras is still in contention for the
playoffs.
The team plays on Friday of this
week at Estacada, in a must-win situa
tion. A win on Halloween night at
Estacada would improve Madras'
record from 3-2 to 4-2.
At the least that would be a third
place finish in the league.
Two local players on the White Buf
falo squad are August Scott and Aus
tin Smith Jr.
In the Homecoming game Smith
had a second-quarter sack of the
Sherwood quarterback.
The hit resulted in a fumble and a
touchdown for Madras.
August Scott reacts to the
Madras High School victory over
Sherwood. Scott is a senior at
the high school. He plays center
on offense, and defensive end.
