Tfo Confederated Tribes in February were again well
represented at the annual Eagle Watch event.
The cold weather did not stop the Quart Creek drummers
and dancers from demonstrating their talents for those who
gathered fot "Eagle Watch 2003.
, nThe event is a celebration of bald eagles and other, raptors ::)
that live at Lake Billy Chinook.
'Eagle Watch serves as a way for all people to better
understand the majesty of the eagle, " said Rudy Clements,
who was master of ceremonies of the tribal performance.
The main gathering place for Eagle Watch is the Round
Butte Overlook Park,
where the photographs on
this page were taken.
Besides the Confeder
ated Tribes, other sponsors
of Eagle Watch are the
Oregon Eagle Foundation,
the Oregon. Department of
Fish and Wildlife, and
Oregon State University.
Also: The JJ.S. De
partment of Fish and
Wildlife, the Culver
Community Improvement
Group, the Audubon
Society, and Earth20 help
with the event.
