changes are made to the distri

An important deadline to sub

The two significant changes
are as follows: First, those

of at least one term of post-secondary
education with aca

the passing standards of the
institution.
Second, upon a finding by
the Tribal Court that a minor
tribal member is responsible
for damages to private, tribal
or governmental property
which are uncollectible in full
prior to their 21st birthday, the
trust funds of such minor may
be attached or ordered to be
paid out of the trust funds to
ensure full recovery of damages
which are not covered by in

for twenty-five years of work protecting the salmon of
Warm Springs country and the Columbia
A QUARTER CENTURY AGO, the Warm Springs,
Umatilla, Yakama, and Nez Perce tribes came together
with a common goal protect the Columbia basin
salmon and tribal treaty fishing rights. This union creat
ed the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission.
During those twenty-five years, the Commission has sup
ported tribal efforts to put salmon back in the rivers and
protect the watersheds where they live.
This vision and work was made possible through the
guidance of tribal leaders from all four tribes. As part of
our silver anniversary celebrations, we will honor all the
Warm Springs commissioners who have served to further
the goals and work of the Commission. We invite all past
and present commissioners and their families to an hon
oring ceremony folowing the grand entry at Pi-Ume-Sha
on June 29th.
