A dream of 25 years became
a reality when a new shop
opened on June 1 at the Warm
Springs Plaza. Tribal member
Eraina Palmer owns the Quilts
and More shbp. Her doors
opened to the public at 10 a.m.
"with refreshments being
served.
t
Ms. Palmer had dreams of
(one day opening her own shop
since the time when she first
became an avid quilt maker.
She took her first quilting class
from Dorothy Zimmerman 30
years ago. A basic log cabin
quilt was what she learned, and
she was hooked on sewing
"since then. Eraina began "quilt
in a day" classes in 1990 and is
proud to say she has several
successful students. Kate Jack
son, Sheilah Wahnetah
Clements, Angie Selam-Smith
,'and her daughter Kelli Picard
are a few to name.
Class schedules are yet to be
determined. There will be
classes for the Beginner, Inter
mediate and the Advanced.
The age limit is 12 years old
on up. The classes will be
taught according to interest of
the style of quilt. There are
several styles she passed on to
her students throughout the
last 12 years. The star quilt is
very popular; quillows (a quilt
that folds into a pillow) of three

Saturday. A person can find
quilts, purses, potholders,
tablecloths, towels and mini
quilts.. Orders can be placed if
you cannot find what you are
looking for or inquire about a
class that you can do to make

special somebody.
