Community Development Block
Grant funds under Title 1 of the
Housing and Community Devel
opment Act of 1974, as amended,
to undertake a project known as
the Warm Springs Transitional
I lousing Facility, for the purpose
of building a transitional housing
facility, including up to eight
apartments and related uses, on
Hollywood Street next to the
VW Hall. The estimated cost for
the project is $525,000, including
construction, design, site develop
ment and related costs.

Public comment!
Any individual, group, or
agency disagreeing with this de
termination or wishing to com
ment on the project may submit
written comments to the Warm
Springs Planning Department,
which is responsible for receiving
and responding to comments. All
comments received by June 28,
2002, will be considered by the
Confederated Tribes of Warm
Springs prior to authorizing sub
mission of request for release of
court in conjunction with this case
must be accompanied by the certi
fication that the opposing party was
served a copy of the same by the
time the court filing was made.
If the Defendant fails to appear
at the hearing, the court may award
the plaintiff a default judgment,
which means the court can award
the plaintiff all that is requested in
the complaint. If the plaintiff fails
to appear at the hearing, the court
may dismiss the case for lack of
prosecution, allow the defendant to
offer proof, or continue the case and
reschedule the hearing. If both par
ties fail to appear at the hearing, the
court may dismiss the case with
prejudice, or reschedule hearing

should seek legal counsel immedi

that Olney Patt, Jr., in his capac
ity as Chairman of the Tribal
Council, consents to accept the
jurisdiction of the Federal Courts
if an action is brought to enforce
responsibilities in relation to the
environmental review process
and that these responsibilities
have been satisfied. HUD's ap
proval of the certification satisfies
its responsibilities under NEPA
and related laws and authorities,
and allows the Confederated
Tribes of Warm Springs to use
Program funds.
