Lincoln's Birthday Powwow approaching
Memorial dinner
is this Saturday
The 25th Annual Lincoln's
Birthday Powwow is fast ap
proaching. The Lincoln's Powwow is
dedicated to the values and be
liefs inherit in our native tribal
sacredness that has been our
strength through the ages. Be
cause of this purpose then, our
Tribal Constitution and By
Laws and the leadership it pro
vides is honored, past, present
and future.
Activities begin Saturday,
February 2 with memorial din
ner and openingblessing of
theSimnashoLonghouse. All
those that were in mourning
(loss of loved one) will be re
joining the dancing circle as
the tradition goes. Sunday,
February 3, Special Sunday
Service a prayer for powwow
participants will be held.

An art gallery in Bend will
feature an art display by any
one interested in showing his
or her work.
The exhibit is open to all
levels of artists. Professional,
amateure or novas, youth,
adult and seniors.
All mediums, all subjects
matters, genres and si2es will
be hung. No artist shall be
rejected.
