says Wendell Jim, the Education Bralch
Manager. The Language Program sptnt two
weeks going to school at the Northvist
Indigenous Language Institute (or NIB) to
learn how to better teach your childrn the

SahaptiH Language teacher said' "fn I
classes were too short. I learned a litle bit
more of a variety of teaching tethniqies."
Dallas was impressed with the fict th;t
although the classes were shorter thisyear,
the number of speakers increased which
added to the variety of classes.-

Numu (Paiute) Language for two weeks )ut
was allowed to help her elders with teaciing
techniques she has learned in the many
training programs she has participated ir

NILI is in it's fourth year and contin es

language, with strategies that keep our
children enthused about their language.
