Here are some of the girls in the club just hanging out with each other
If you haven' t notice J il already, the
Central Oregon Boys ami Girls club
has mad it's present felt her in Warm
Springs. They started a few weeks ago
when sonic ol their staff began to clean
up around the Community Wellness
Center. .
In one of there pamphlets it states:
Our club operates on a year round
basis. By providing programs after
school, on weekends, during summer
and school vacation periods, we build
the trust of our youth, enabling them to
depend on the Club and Club activities.
A wide range of adult-supervised ac
tivities and services arc offered, and all
for a minimal $10 annual fee. If for
some reason the youth or his or her
family can't provide the annual fee, it
can be earned through a variety of
duties within the Club itself. What's
more, even if that alternative is not
possible, no youngster is ever turned
away for failing to meet the $ 1 0 mem
bership fee".
This club offers a wide variety of
activities, core programs, targeted out
reach, a power hour, and a torch club.
There Mission Statement: To in
spire and enable all young people, es
pecially those from disadvantaged cir
cumstances, to realize their full potcn
tial as productive, responsible, andearn
ing citizens.
This is a good addition to our com
munity and I encourage all parents to
go down and sign your kids up. The
club is always looking for more kids.
This club will help kids realize their
drams and help them establish goals for
themselves.
