In the first game last week, April 24, the buffs took on the Sherwood Bowemen at home. The boys lost this game by the score of 10-3. The buffs could only muster up a total of four hits throughout the game. Jacoby Ellsbury lea tne duiis wiin a l ior j ouung, wun two triples. Jesse Armstrong went 1 of 2, with a single, Mike Me ves also added a single. On May I, Madras traveled to Val ley Catholic to take on the Valiants. The buffs really got their bats going as they cruised to a 15-1 win. Jesse Armstrong led the charge with a 3 for 4 outing, including a single, a double, and a home run, driving in 3 RBI's. Sam Candland went 1 for 1, with a home run, bringing in 2 runs. Jacoby Ellsbury also went 1 for 1 with a single and drving in a run. Jefferson Greene went 1 for 2 with a double. In this game the buffs racked up 9 hits scattered throughout the batting order. The buffs also got walked 9 times. Jeff Barnes pitched a one-hitter in five innings to take the win. The very next day, May 2, Madras had to jump into the travel bus again for another road trip, this time to take on the Estacada Rangers. Madras once again won in convincing fashion, 16-1. The buffs continued to have hot bats getting 13 hits as a team for the game. Jacoby Ellsbury led the way going 3 for 4, with two singles and a double, driv ing in 4 RBI's. Erik Ronning went 1 for 2 chalking up a double. Colter Barnes went 2 for 3, hitting a double and a home run. Jake Wise also went deep, as he went 1 for 2, with 2 RBI's. These two wins put the buffs at 1 1 1 1 for the year, and a 8-6 record for league.
