LaSalle Falcons outlast the Madras White Buffs 55-39
"As I See's Urn!"
; Madras white Buffaloes
: plagued with turn-over-ites, early
: in the game dug a rut for them
: selves and were unable to climb
; out or overcome and regain their

j cons came to town for the return
' league game of the season and
they went home with a 55-39,
win.
The Falcons took the tip and
seemed to take control of the
game right from the start, when
they jumped right our to a 17-8,
first quarter lead and were never
in any serious trouble the rest of
the night.
The Buffs couldn't get any
king of offense going or they
couldn't get any kind of game
going, as it appeared that there
was a mental block that took over
on the Buffs.
During the early part of the
game the Buffs were passing right
into the hands of the Falcon play
ers and they would go down the
floor and score. The teams went
into the locker room for the half
time break with the Falcons lead
ing 30-15.
Things didn' t change too much
in the second half and the Buffs
battled their opponents head to
head but several lay-ups were
missed and sometimes even tip
ins were not there and the Falcons
would come away with the re
bound. Dean Scrutton was the man of
the night for the LaSalle Falcons
as he went on an 1 8 point scoring
spree. The senior Post had six
field goals and he was six out of
seven from the free throw line.
The taller Falcons were not to be
denied under the basket pulling
down most of the rebounds and

The Buffaloes were never in
any kind of trouble all through
the game, as they went on a 23

. they went a little cold but man
aged to out score The Dalles 1 1

the state title adding another win
under their belts.

loss in league play was to the
LaSalle Falcons in two games
both one there and here at home.
The Falcons who are leading the
standings in the Tri-Valley
league are sure to win the league
title with the Buffaloes taking
second. The Falcons are talented
in most respects and have some
good height that aided them this
year. Wilsonville appeared to be
a threat but the Buffaloes were
able to contain their attack beat
ing them on both home and away
gamds to keep on track. ' f
The Buffaloes will travel to
meet the Sherwood Bowmen for
their final league game of the
season Thursday, Feb, 24, 00.
The Buffs will be in the play-offs
and have home court advantage
with game TBA.

Benefit Golf
tourney set
The Museum At Warm Springs
Benefit Golf Tournament has been
rescheduled to February 26, 2000. A
snow storm dropped about six inches
of snow on the Kah-Nee-Ta Golf
Course just before the original date
set for January 29.
It is hoped this change of date will
lead to better golfing conditions
(golfers won't lose as many gold
balls which blend nicely with the
snow), and it will be a more fun
tournament for the golfers. The great
prizes will still include the hole-in-one
prizes such as: $ 10,000; a cruise;
$250 golf gift certificates and other
prizes. There are many golf prize
packages for the 1 st, 2nd & 3rd gross
& net team winners. There will also
be KP's, LPS, and a chip & putt
contest too.
The Museum At Warm Springs
invites you to clean the dust off your
