Keller Christensen returned the kick for 17 yards. With a couple of in complete passes and a short run the buffs punted. The Rangers steadily moved the ball down field and Hoopes ran the ball in from 3 yards out to score the first TD. The kick was no good leaving the score Rang ers 6, the Buffs 0. The Buffs move the ball up field but stalled and had to punt. Rangers fumble the ball and madras recov ered the ball on the 42, from there the Buffs were able to move the ball well and finally Jaca ran in on the final 3 yards for the score. Kah-Nee-Ta hosts Northwest Indian Invitational The Kah-Nee-Ta Golf Association was host of the 1999 Northwest Indian Invitational Golf Tournament onOctober9& 10, 1999. There were a total of 65 participants that trafveled as far as Canada, California, Washington, Minnesota, and Oregon to participate in this year's event. At the kickoff a good runback of 30 yards putting the ball on the 40 yard line. On the next play Colter Barns was sacked for a 1 1 yard loss to make it 2nd and 2 1 . A pass to Jaca was good for 37 yards and a first down. After a series of plays the Rangers hold the Buffs on 4th down as the Buffs couldn't convert, and took possession of the ball. Allen Jackson makes a good stop making it third a 1 2. A pass by the Rangers was good and fumbled which Chasen Walker covered the ball for the Buffs. The next time the Buffs get their hands on the ball they marched down field and with a pass from Barns to Christensen gave the Buffs a first down on the 5 yard line and Jaca punches his way into the end zone for the score and the Buffs go ahead by one. With a try for two points a pass failed leaving the score the Buffs 19 and Rangers 18. The teams were unable to do any reopen fishing season Restrictions: Hook size must be 90 or larger. Tribal fishers are en couraged to use circle-hooks and avoid J-hooks. All river mouth and dam sanctuaries remain in effect. Allowable Sales: The allowed sales during the John Day Pool setline season will be restricted to sturgeon. Chinook and Steelhead may not be sold. Sturgeon Size Limit: Sturgeon between 4 feet and 5 feet in length may be sold commercially or kept for subsistence. Scaffold Fishery: The scaffold fishery remains open year-around.
