This will, if successfully completed, place PGE and the Tribes in a partnership role. Tribal Council also took action to appoint the Three Chiefs and the Secretary-Treasurer of the Tribal Council to lead the formal negotiations. Discussions are moving forward to address the ownership and conditions of how the two parties would structure the partnership. The Department of Interior has been involved with the discussions and recognizes the very tight Federal timelines involved. Tribal Council has been working on this issue for several years and understands the importance to the Tribes in two ways, the economic element that fund tribal services, and the natural resource issues that will be addressed in the next license. Chairman, JP Patt commented. "It is very critical that our membership become aware of how this project impacts our tribe." The Tribal Council will be scheduling district meetings and general council meetings to help describe the issues in this process. If discussion proves successful the Tribal Council would anticipate calling for a referendum sometime in August. Sr.disabied housing available Subsidized SeniorDisabled.
