10 December 3, 1998 Warm Springs, Oregon SpilyayTymoo Hr44j Spilyay Tmoo Sports The Sisters Outlaws Top The The Sisters Outlaws showed why they are rated the No. 1, team in the state coaches polls, by getting by the Madras White Buffaloes 28-0. in a second round state play off football game. Both Central Oregon teams are in leagues that centers in the Willamette valley. Sisters in the Capitol League and Madras in the Trii-Valley league. They must have brought some of that valley rein back with them because the rain never let up all through the game, just like a normal rainy day in the valley. The entire game was spelled with a big "D," as the defensive units played a key part on the game for both teams . A outstanding defensive play by the Sisters Outlaws kept the Buffaloes bottled up most of the game. The Buffs were unable to penetrate into the Outlaw territory and they were stingy for giving up first downs to the Buffs. A rain drenched game made the ball handling a little more difficult to handle for both teams . The wet conditions did have its effects on both teams throughout the game. The teams did more protecting the ball and not wanting to fumble to set any easy plays for their opponents.. That's just what the Buffs did as they made some bad mistakes and some bad mix-ups and setting up Sisters for some easy scores. The score could have been a little closer but some bad breaks for the Buffs who fumbled the ball, and good breaks for the Outlaws who recovered the fumble on the 3 yard line and they were able to punch the ball in for six points and with the PAT good they were out front 7-0 at the end of the first half Sisters defense dug in and .wouldn't let Madras have any Tri-Valley League Picks 1998 Keller Christensen, a Junior, the hard running back for the Madras White Buffalo's was named the offensive player of the year in the Tri-Valley League. Christensen was also named to the first team as a inside line backer, and named to the second te".m punter. Other Madras standouts who made the all league team on offense were Senior Brian Sites, Tight End, Senior Steve Reeder Place Kicker, Senior Jered Moses, Defensive End, Junior Jake Jaca, safety.
