Things have slacked on the All
Warrior Memorial lately since the
ground breaking Ceremonies.
Might say that things are at a stand
still at the present time.
We have made efforts to secure
funding to construct a wall for the
names of all Veterans, so far we
have had just a very little favorable
response to the matter.
Here is a little request to all
Veterans if they feel that they can
contribute a small amount say like
$25 apiece, it would greatly be
appreciated by the Board who is
working on this great project, that
is way past due here in Warm
Springs, something to recognize
all the veterans that proudly served
their country during disrupted
times. Everyone who served
deserves to be recognized on this
well worth memorial.
Just recently we published a
list of names of all veterans and as
we expected we overlooked
several names. That was the whole
purpose of the whole thing was to
see how many we have overlooked
in our first attempt to see who will
appear on the stone marble wall.
We will be publishing an up
dated list soon and do not hesitate
to call in if there is a name missing
or a correction to be made because
we want this to e a true and accurate
as possible when the names are
carved into the stone. We are about
the only reservation that does not
have something like this for All
Veterans who really need this type
of memorial.
We have a very few remaining
veterans from the WWII, and we'd
like tO acknowledge them while
they are still with us. We have the
Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert
Storm, and some small skirmishes
where US Military wereenvolved.
We want to include everyone no
matter how long they may have
served or where they served.
