According to station manager Jerry Hicks, "the new format at 96.5 will broadcast, at 100,000 watts of power, Central Oregon's only adult contemporary format." Artist's like Hootie and the Blow fish, Gin Blossoms, Phil Collins, Rod Ste wart, Toni Braxton, Seal, Journey, Tina Turner, Madonna, Elton John and many more will be heard with a real local presentation. It's a format that I think is missing in the radio market of Central Oregon," says Hicks. This format addition and quality programming is "very exciting to say the least. The marketing power of an 18 to 44-year-old focused hot adult contemporary, combined with the great ratings delivered by More Country-KIJK, will even be greater. Here's a one-two punch sure to reach and deliver to radio listeners around Central Oregon, says Hicks.
