WHAT ARE WE GOOD AT? Based
Children are the ones suffering
To the editor,
I am writing this letter to express
my feelings to my children and grand
children. First, I want to tell you how
much I love and care for you and just
how much pain and tears you are
causing me. I cry tears everyday,
missing my grandchildren.
When you were babies, I put you
first and took care of you the best
way I could. When you couldn't care
for your babies when they came
along, I stepped in to do what I could
to make sure they had someone to
love, feed and care for them. My
darling, beloved grandchildren.
To my grandchildren, Grandma
loves you very much and always
will. No one can take that from me
ever. To my children, I say maybe one
day you will grow up enough to real
ize just how much you've hurt me
with your behavior. Life is too short.

We should treasure each day we have

Don' t use your children as pawns
to hurt me. They're the ones suffer
ing. Keeping them from me is only
depriving them of the love, hugs and
affection I give them freely and al

Gramma, they know they're loved
by me.
If you're angry at me then let's

to see them too. My lil angels.
Mamma's and children are some

peoples' attention and provide a motivating
force, even in hard times. Submit your ideas by

Thank you staff and community
To the editor,
I would like to take this opportu
nity to thank the community of Warm
Springs and the staff of Warm Springs
Health and Wellness Center. I have
worked as a pharmacist for the Warm
Springs Health and Wellness Center
since January of 1995. I have truly
loved my work here and am very
appreciative of the chance to work
with and among so many wonderful
people. It is with great sadness (and
after many tear!) that I say good-bye.
I have recently accepted a posi
tion with the University of Iowa
Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City,
Iowa. My last day of work at the
clinic is October !5th. I will miss
everyone more than you can know. I
doubt very seriously that I will find
any better co-workers or patients,

portunity. I hope to bring what I learn
there back to the Indian Health Ser
vice in the future.
I would like to also thank the staff
of the Community Health Education
Team, Early Childhood Education
and Warm Springs Elementary
School. I have worked with these
groups over the last couple of years
to provide poison prevention educa
tion and everyone (especially the
children!) has been incredibly flex
ible and cooperative. You're lucky
to have Anson and Anita from CHET
working with the young people. They
are very good at their jobs!
Again, thank you all. It has been a
pleasure serving you as a pharma
cist. Sincerely,
