Riggs Charley, Harrison Davis and Levi "Schnoz" Kennedy were among the first to get their food to sit down and enjoy.

Nathan "8 Ball" Jim sat down and ate huckleberries first. Then the
other good food.

Young lady from The Dalles waded into the water to
cool off.
Nearly twenty years have gone by and this corral has seen many cowboys ride in the annual Huckleberry
Feast rodeo. This year the corral was empty because it has fallen apart.

A traditional favorite, salmon, was cooked over an open pit along the
Warm Springs river. Was very tasty.
Ceremonies have
taken place at the
HeHe Longhouse off
of Highway 26 to give
thanks to the Creator
for a bountiful harvest
of huckleberries.
Huckleberry Feast
was held August 10,
1997 with traditional
foods served in the
traditional way during
ceremonial songs. An
evening powwow
was held on that day
in celebration.

Hucklebenies were aplenty for all who came to give thanks for a
bountiful year.
