Let us talk about being insecure. It means not having a feeling of strength in your life. It means having a feeling of the ground moving under your feet. It means having a steady flow of fear coming into your life. Now you say what fear? A fear of not paying all the bills, not knowing if you have a place to sleep, not knowing about tomorrow. With insecurity comes anger. Angry about what is happen ing around you. Why is my support check late? Why did she get the job and not me? They said the car would run? Anger like fearcomes in asteady flow into life. Finally insecurity brings indifference. It does not mat ter any more!!! What is the use of complaining about it? No one cares !! ! At this point I am suppose to say God cares....But would you believe me? Insecurity is the loss or lack of Warm Sprinp Confederated Tribes Plaintiff va. It is the loss or ack of control in your life. The truth is we are not built to have all the power or control of our lives. We need people in our lives for love, friendship and companionship that keeps us from going crazy. Yet with people in our lifes comes the loss of power or control and a greater sense of insecurity. So what are we to do? Now I say to you God cares. If parts of our lifes must be given then why not given to the Lord...If you have a vision of the Creator as a loving, strong and wise God. Then why not feel a little insecure about life with the Lord in your life. Why not put the question of fear and anger, of power and control before God and let the Lord give to you a LARGE portion of security in a insecure world. See you in church. Pastor Rick R. To the editor, Just wanted to write and thank everyone for their support during our time of significant stress, short tempers, tough training schedule and chaos while getting ready for the Hood to Coast. We were entered in the Women's Open Division and our team name was "Sweethearts of the Road-eo." The roster consisted of the following ladies (and young ladies): Monica Leonard, Lyda Rhoan, Mary Stennfeld, Gladys Squiemphen, Nancy Seyler, Sheena Stevens, Elfreda Smith, Naomi Dick, Laurie Danzuka, Deborah Clark and Laura Cailloux. Unfortunately, they got stuck with running on the team, but it did save anyone from running a fourth (4) leg. That's how it goes, sometimes ! As usual we were looking for runners at the last minute. We owe much gratitude and praise to Naomi Dick, Sheena Stevens and Elfreda Smith for pulling us out of deep trouble! Even though we went through a lot of women runners, we were able to pull it off and I'm thankful for that. I don't know how many women had training partners, but it helped some of our runners, so thank you those people that helped our runners! You know who you are.
