Thank you for supporting my D.C. trip
To the Editor,
This letter is to all the people who
supported me in all the fundraisers
that we did for my trip to Washing
ton, D.C.
The very first person I would like
to thank is the Field Director for
Warm Springs Salmon Corps, David
Lucei, for encouraging me to do the
essay and getting all my fundraisers
together, especially the raffle draw
ing. You've been behind me all the
way and that means a lot.
My Salmon Corps co-workers for
helping me with my first car wash we
had. Also, I would like to thank my
family and friends here in Warm
Springs, my mom Nola Qucahpama,
my sisters Louclla Heath-Bagley and
Jessie Adams, David and Becky
Lucei, Emily Lucei, Britton
Metrokin, Larry Holliday and Gene
and Ncna Harvey for taking packets
and selling the raffle tickets for my
raffle.
I would like to thank Wendy
Gcrlitz from CRITFC in Portland for
taking a packet and selling tickets for
the raffle. We had a BBQ fundraiser
on Friday before I left. I would like to
thank all the people who got involved
and helped in that, like Kate Jackson
and Mary Danzuka for volunteering
their time.
And last but not least, the car
wash we had on Saturday, the week
end before I left. I would like to thank
my dad Lloyd Adams, my nephew
Nathan Berry, my sisters Louclla and
Jessie, my little brother Oscar and
David Lucei. I would like to thank all
the people who donated items for my
raffle drawing and to all that had
bought tickets. A thank you to Spilyay
staff and to KWSO staff for adver
tising my fundraisers in the paper
and on the radio.
I enjoyed my trip to Washington,
D.C. It was a once in a lifetime thing
for me and I will never forget it. We
raised a total of $1,203.50 out of all
the fundraisers that we did. I can't
name all the people who were in
volved but, again, I thank all of you
for supporting me.
