Play for Gold at Indian Head
Olympics are being held at Kah-Nee-Ta
Resort and Indian Head
Gaming Center. The best thing about
the games is that they last longer
than those currently being played in
Atlanta. The "gold" games will con
tinue through Sunday, August 25.
If you are a slot player, you will
be playing for gold every time you
play a slot machine. If you find a
gold medal on your slot payout re
ceipt you will automatically be en
tered in a drawing to be held Sunday,
August 25. The first place winner
will win $1,000 cash. The second
place winner will wind $500 cash.
The third place winner will win $250
cash. Whenever you have that gold
medal on your slot payout receipt,
you are eligible for the "Go for the
Gold" drawing on Sunday August
25 at 6 p.m.
Every day in August at the Kah-Nee-Ta
golf course, golfer can play
for Golfers' gold. All golfer that bring
their Kah-Nee-Ta score card up to
Indian Head Gaming Center will be
entered into a weekly drawing for
two rounds of gold and a cart rental.
Cards can be dropped off at the
cashier's cage in the gaming center.

Pinto Grill reopens
The Pinto Grill at the Lodge will
now be open Friday and Saturday
evenings, offering a lighter menu and
different atmosphere than in the ju
niper Room The Grill will also be
opened Saturday and Sunday after
noons for lunch. The menu will offer
salads, sandwiches and lighter things
for lunch.
The Juniper Room will continue
its great service by offering break
fast buffets both Saturday and Sun
day mornings. The buffet includes
fresh fruits, cold cereals, eggs, ba
con, sausage, biscuits and gravy,

The Flandreau Indian School is a
four year off-reservation boarding
school operated by the Bureau of
Indian Affairs. The requiredelective

years, a building to house the many
displays was erected on the grounds.
Over the years, Roma says, many
have lost interest in displaying their
exhibits and that it is primarily a
family project. "We want to keep
tribal members in there," she says.
Roma and her family camp at the
site, putting up teepees for display
and cooking. They sleep inside the
exhibit building for security
purposes.
