-
Close to three hundred community mem
bers attended the Second Annual Bike Ro
deo, held June 1, at the Warm Springs Com
munity Center. Sponsored by the Commu
nity Health Education Team and Tribal Sani
tarian. Bike helmets were distributed to adults
and children of all ages. Those who did not
receive one were put on a list.
There were bicycle repair booths, bicycle
safety booths, bicycle decorating and ran
dom drawings for bicycle prizes. A bicycle
ramp was fun for the cyclists. There was also
face painting for the children.
Drawings were held for bicycle flags,
pumps, repair kits, and a boys bicycle and a
girls bicycle. Winner of the boys bike was
Randy Felter and the girls bike went to
Miranda Blueback. Other free items given
away were water bottles, whistles, frisbees,
bouncing balls.
In the afternoon there was a barbecue
luncheon free to the public.
The bike rodeo ended with a bicycle parade.
