Other domestic disturbances calls included seven police responses where intervention was required. One case of disorderly conduct was handled while another of an al leged restraining order violation was processed through the justice sys tem. A total of 38 warrants were cleared by arrest. In the are of theft; one red Suzuki 250 ATV was stolen, a scanner, an 18 speed black bike, a pager, and several checks along with cash was reported stolen since our last report. Any knowledge of these items can be reported by calling the police. Six drivers were detained for DUII and a blue in color Nissan was re ported in the Greeley Heights area as a reckless driver. A total of four log trucks were cited for being over weight and one hit & run incident was investigated. Looking at our juveniles; seven were arrested for being intoxicated while one adult ended up being charged for contributing. Two juve niles were arrested for violation of curfew; four for being in need of supervision; four on trespassing in cidents; four warrants were executed; and one false identification referral was made to the juvenile department. Officer's responded to the Wolfe Point area recently on a fight in progress call that resulted in no ar rests, the reporting party or victim did not wish to pursue charges. Numerous calls throughout the month have been received on com plaints of gun shots heard through out our community which we could use some help in catching the individual(s) responsible. If you are witness to these incidents, please get as much detail as you can about those that might be responsible. Kathlee Wallulatum I would like to express my deep est, most sincere apology to all the parents of children at the ECE and to the three people; Les White, Richard Crooked Arm, and Plum Gilbert. This apology is for the incident that hap pened on the 14th of December, in volving a drunk, out of control driver that wrecked a car. McGruff Speaks: Hi friends.. .Well it's that time of year when the dog days seem to get longer and more domestic disputes are on the rise, teenagers get anxious and forget about time, and parents look forward to spring activities that lead into summer. I was advised to let the commu nity know that the patrol division has begun to step-up enforcement on those in violation of curfew. So.. .to prevent having to appear in front of the juvenile authorities, all teenagers are encouraged to be in doors by the curfew hour of 10 p.m. on school nights and 12 midnight on the weekends. Naturally, the exception is when you are the parent, guardian or an ther competent adult with the per mission of your parent or guardian. Gang Intervention Project: Detective's Courtney and Whittenburge returned from training in the state's capital recently in it's first annual Gang Intervention Project-"Not in My Neighborhood", conference held on April 10, 11, 1996. Charley was born to parents Alvin Charley Sr. and Lydia Frank Murphy on December 27, 1953 at Simnasho, OR. He was a lifetime resident of Warm Springs, OR and also a tribal member. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rodeo and wild horse racing. Charley attended schools in Warm Springs and Chemawa High School, where he was named ath lete of the year. He played football and wrestled. Later, he went to Haskell Indian College in Lawrence, Kansas where he also participated in sports. As a young boy he was very active in the boy i M Michael Leoneso Zamora Lifelong Madras resident, Michael Leoneseo Zamora passed away April 13, 1996 at the age of 27 on Highway 26 due to an auto mobile accident. Zamora was born June 27, 1968 at Madras, OR to Leoneseo Montiel & Josphine Tafoya. He was a graduate of Madras High School. He enjoyed horses and working on cars. You would be working with a team to put on the largest attended event in Jefferson County. Preced ing him in death were two sisters, and his father. The dressing ceremony was held Sunday, April 14, 1996 at 10 a.m. at Bel-Air Colonial Chapel in Ma dras, OR. Overnight services was held at the Simnasho Longhouse. Burial was Monday, April 15, 1996 at 9 a.m. at the Simnasho Cem etery. son Theodore Zamora of Madras, sisters Lisa Lomas & Bonita Leonard of Madras, Marcella Clements of Warm Springs and Alice Cundell of Culver, OR. The dressing ceremony was held Tuesday, April 1 6, 1 996 at the Bel Air Colonial Chapel at 1 p.m. Then was taken to St, Patrick's Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. in Madras.
