Thirteen teams participated in the annual Treaty Days Softball
Tournament in Warm Springs.
It was a very warm weekend
during the Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Days
Women's Softball Tournament
which was held June 24-25, 1995 at
the softball fields in Warm Springs.
Thirteen teams participated in the
annual event.
The top si x were awarded for their
efforts. Sixth place went to the Yellow
Jackets of Yakama, Washington.
Skoholahof Washington placed fifth.
Fourth place was Kah-Nee-Ta of
Warm Springs. Lapwai, Idaho placed
third. The runner-up was Been There,
Done That, and Lana's "US" was the
1995 champions.
All-stars were presented to June
Smith, Juliene Smith and Jocelyn
Moses of Been There, Done That
Desi Smiscon, Nona Yazzie and Lana
Leonard were all-stars of Lana's
"US". Cora Ward was Skaholah's
all-star. Lynn Tanewasha and Leslie
Cochran were named all-stars for
Kah-Nee-Ta. Gret McKamey and Ro
were Lapwai's all-stars. Lovey
Sconowah of Yellow Jackets was
also named all-star.
The sportsmanship team was
Burns. June Smith was named Best
Infielder and Jennifer Jim was
selected Best Outfielder. Lana
Leonard was named Most Valuable
Plaver.
