Series of rodeos scheduled
A series of open Jackpot Rodeos
will be held in Beatty, Oregon, with the
first one being held May 20 and 21,
1995. There will be four in all during
the summer. The second show will be
June 10, 1 1 , 1 995, and on July 1 5, 1 6th
and the final one August 19, 20, 1995.
Theevents will include saddle bronc,
entry fee $27.50; bareback riding
$27.50; wlldhorse race (per man
$82.50); calf roping $27.50; wild cow
milking $27.50; team roping (per man
$27.50 go twice); barrel racing, $27.50
bull riding (limited) with $10.00 fee,

Annual Endurance Race
The Annual Endurance horse race
is scheduled for Saturday, June 24,
1995, starting at 9:00 a.m.
The starting place is at the Shaker
Church, and ends there also. The
race covers about 14 miles and the
times are being cut down each year
as the riders and horses cover the
route faster. There is also a Junior
Endurance race that covers five miles
which also starts and ends at the

Shaker Church. Both races finnish
as the riders come down the steep
hill west of the Agency area.
There are different categories,
one for the older men, the women
and junior boys and junior girls.
There will be prize money and
many gifts warded to the winners of
each category.
Be sure to turn out to see the
annual endurance race.

The Warm Springs Reservation
Runners are holding their 15th
Annual Pi-Ume-Sha Run, 10K and
2.0milerun, Saturday, June 24, 1995,
at 8:00 a.m. starting and ending at
the Warm Springs Community
Center.
It is a flat course, out and back.
Water stations will be located
throughout the course.
Entry fee is $10 pre-registered,
$12 day of the race, no T-shirt and
club members $7.
There are male and female
divisions in age groups as follows:
Under 10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25
29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50
54, 55-59, and 60 & over. Overall
male and female winners will receive
awards. First through third place male
and female finishers in each division
will receive ribbons.
Registration will open at
approximately 6:45 a.m. on the day
of the race and will close at 7:45 a.m.

P.O. Box 1140, Warm Springs,

payable to the Warm Springs
Reservation Runners.
The Klamath Falls Memorial Day
jack-pot rodeo went right on schedule
with a full program. The rodeo was held
in Klamath Falls Fair grounds, with a
good turn out of contestants.

The 21st annual Treaty Day's All
Indian Rodeo, is scheduled for June 24,
& 25, 1995, here in Warm Springs.
This is a WSIRA sanctioned rodeo,
with all the points will be recorded and
at the end of the season the cowboys
with the most points will earn the right
to compete in the National Finals in the
Fall.
There are the regular eight rodeo
events of saddle bronc, bareback, bull
riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, bar
rel race breadaway roping and team
roping. With the added events of wild
horse race, century roping and jr. barrel
race.

1995, at 9 a.m. and close Friday, June
