The Madras White Buffaloe bas
ketball teams hosted a boys and girls
teams from Australia, Mon. Jan. 2,
1995, where the visitors topped the
Buffaloes in both games.
The non-league encounter gave the
coaches a chance to see what all the
kids on the team can do in game situa
tions as all the players had a chance to
get into the game.
The boys game, Ringwood was
pretty much in control of the gameright
from the start. Nathan Welsh was the
high scorer to lead his team to a 7 1-50,
win over the host Buffaloe team. The
Aussies were pretty physical and put a
tight defense on the Buffs who at times
had problems getting the ball down
court

basketball team using a pressure de
fense set the pace early in the game to
beat The Dalles Indians by the score of
58-36 in league action Tuesday night

Carrie Hawes scored 2 1 points and
Erika Christensen 20 to lead the Buff

shots are very important in a game.
While on the other hand Amy Schulten
was 0-10 from the free throw line and
many of them were one and one which
could have added up more if she made
them all. In total The Dalles was 3 of
16 at the free throw line. Madras was

traditional pathway to fisted fame
and glory. Through the Golden
Gloves Finals have passed such ring
