Don't Panic-Lice a common problem School days around Oregon means teachers.parents and students should watch for tiny classroom invaders. "We run into this every year, and the panic that ensures when head lice show up causes more harm than the lice," said Jack DeAngclis, and entomology specialist with the OSU Extension Service. "It's a problem easily solved with special shampoos sold over the counter. There's no need to go ballistic and traumatize an entire classroom of children with military-type inspections. Just treat the person who has them. People often over-apply the shampoo. The medication in the shampoo causes a skin rash. That's mistaken for lice damage. They medicate again, and so on. Just approach it rationally. It's not that big a dead," added DeAngelis. "Anyone can get head lice." (from an article published in the Oregonian newspaper by the Oregon State University). Boy Scout's meeting at WSE On Wednesday October 26, 1994 at 6:30 p.m., in the Warm Springs Elementary cafeteria, there will be a meeting for boys in grades 1 -5 to sign up for boy scouts.
