The Warm Springs Recreation Invitational
Track Meet was heW July 12 at the Madras"
High School with special guest Billy Mills.
Billy Mills was the first American to win a gold
medal for 10,000 meter at the Olympics in
Japan, 1964. Children ages 2-13 competed for
various events at the track meet, the results are:

Gymnastics lessons
to be held at C.C
Gymnastics instructor, Susan
Moody is offering lessons to all
interested boys and girls, ages 5-12.
Lessons begin at 5 p.m. every
Wednesday at the Community Center
and will end at 6 p.m.
Susan is also planning to include
tumbling lessons for kids ages three
and four years of age who are
accompanied by their parents. During
the nine month Gymnastic lessons,
Susan plans to have some special
guest speakers and also some field
trips for all kids that join.

It's Fair time in Jefferson County.
The 1994 Jefferson County fair and
rodeo are scheduled to run from July
28 through the 31, 1994.
This year marks the 63rd year of
existence, when it was established in
1931 to 1994. This year's theme is
"Friends, Fairs, and Smokey Bear.
On tap during the fair days is a dance
on Saturday night, July 30, starting at
9:00 p.m. A Buckaroo Breakfast
Sunday, July 31, from 6-1 1:00 a.m.
Rodeo starts Friday night at 7:00
p.m. and Saturday at 1:30 p.m. There
will be a talent showcase Sunday at
2:00 p.m. On Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
there will be an OMSI Educational
Display, 4-H FFA Market Animal
Sale and other horse events.
Family day is Sunday July 31,
admission will be $ 1 .00 includes lots
of food and fun. Tons of exhibits and
great entertainment. Yep! It's time to
dust off your hat and shine your boots
an enjoy the Jefferson County Fair.
