Two local teams traveled to Pendleton, Oregon to enter in the Pam Jones-Harrison Softball tourna ment during the weekend of July 10 11, 1993. The two teams were the LadyTravelersand the Warm Springs Bravettes. The Lady Travelers won their first game Saturday morning by forfeit to the Yellow Jackets. Lost their second game to Lummi, Washington, and came back in the third game of the day and beat Pendleton. The Bravettes challenged the Athletics and won 3-2 in Saturday mornings game. They came back that afternoon to play Lapwai, Idaho and were defeated 3-15. In the third and final game of the day they were vic torious over Pendleton 144. Sunday morning both local teams were scheduled to play each other. At the end of the second inning the score was 2-1, Bravettes. At completion of the third it was tied 2- 2. After the fourth it was 3-2, Bravettes. At completion of the fifth inning the score was once again tied 5-5. During the sixth the Bravettes score two, leading 7-5 and the game remained scoreless the remaining innings. The Bravettes then moved up to play Lapwai again and were again defeated. The score was 10-19. First place was awarded to Lummi Nation who received jackets, and a trophy , second place went to Lapwai, Idaho who received sweatshirts and a trophy. The Bravettes were awarded third and Lady Travelers placed fourth, they received T-shirts and trophies. The sportsmanship award was presented to the Warm Springs Bravettes. The all-stars were given to Lana Shike and Sandra Danzuka for the Lady Travelers and Libby Chase and Wanda Jiminez for the Bravettes.
