There comes a time in every community to develop
controls over how it develops and how people use or
occupy spaces.
The community of Warm Springs has reached that
point. The population within the community has in
creased to over 2200 and continues to grow.
Within the next 10 years it will increase to approxi
mately 3000 and over the next 20 years could double
in size. This would be the size of the present city of
Redmond.
To prepare for this growth and development the
Planning Department and Land Use Committee have
prepared a proposed community plan for your review.
Written or oral recommendations will be accepted
from the public through the next two weeks before
they adopt a final community zoning map and zoning
ordinance.
Both the map and ordinance may be reviewed at
Tribal Planning or BIA Realty in the Tribal Adminis
tration Building through January.
