They had the opportun ity to observe animals in close proximity and even touch and ride some. Zoo Day is held annually says Early Childhood Development Program parent health coordinator John Nettleton. Children are introduced to animals in the classroom through stories and with ant farms and guinea pigs before their experience is expanded with the Zoo Day activity.
