"The Star Spangled Bannerwhen it was first published, bore the title "The Defense of Fort Mcllcnry." takes less time to make a cash payment than it docs to make a check r credit payment. And cash is r.ore widely acceptable two 10 j are not necessary. If you use cash to pay bills, always get a receipt. The receipt should indicate the date, your name, the amount paid, what the pay ment was lor, and the name of the person receiving the payment. Keep this reccjpt, proof of pay ment until there is no question about whether or not payment has been made. For example, if you pay the util ity bill with cash, keep the receipt until your next statement arrives showing payment. If you are using cash for expenses which are tax deductible, the dentist bill or the day care center, a receipt is needed for your tax records. Paying by cash sometimes makes it difficult for you to track how your money was spent. Develop a system for keeping sales slips and writing down expenditures. The Warm Springs Extensin office has a new video, "Tracking Your Spending" which can be checked out. This video will help you keep track of how you spend your money.
