living in Warm Springs for fours
and have been workina to aet my
GED. I like to do beadwork, and
would be proud to be a memoer
of the Warm Springs Tribe, because
I have heard a lot of good things
about it. I am 44 Warm Springs,
Yakima, Navajo.
Gary Alan Chlquito
50. I was born 2670 in The
Dalles, Oregon and my parents
are Larry Chiquito and Eva Walsey.
My grandparents are Billy and
Nettie (Thompson) Walsey. I have
lived in Warm Springs for four years
with Floyd and "Eva Stahi. I have
been attending school here in
Warm Springs and in Madras. I
went out for football, but I broke
my leg. Since I have been living
here I have made a lot of friends,
and since my parents are living
here, I would like to be enrolled. I
am 44 Warm Springs, Yakima,
Navajo.

51. I was born 31574 in
Portland, Oregon to Alfred, Jr.
and Judy (Kalama) King. My grand
parents are Fred "Buddy" Kalama
and Jeannie Halfmoon Danzuka.
I have lived in Warm Springs for
six years and have been attending
school here in Warm Springs and
Madras. I have partcipated in pee
wee golf, Kiwanis basketball, Lil
Bucks baseball and the Warm
Springs Boxing Club. Since I have
lived here most of my life, I feel
this is my home, and all of my
friends and family are here. I am
1332 Pitt River, Nisqually, Karok,
Nez Perce, Cayuse.
Floyd Shelby Gibson
52. 1 was born 91339 in Western
Shoshone, Nevada to Bobbie and
Nellie (Greeley) Gibson. My grand
parents are Stanley and Mamie
Gibson on my father's side and
Soloman and Stella (Quinn)
Greeley. I grew up in Warm Springs
since I was 14, and I lived with
Norman and Ella Wolfe. I married
Catherine Queahpama, and we
have three children who are
enrolled here. I am now working
as Maintenance at Kah-Nee-Ta
Village, and live at Kah-Nee-Ta.
Since all of my family is here, my
children and grandchildren, I would
like to be be able to buy a home
here, and keep my employment at
Kah-Nee-Ta. I am 44 Warm
Springs, Paiute, Shoshone.

Florez and Zilah Keo Florez. My
grandparents are Tom Keo and
Isabel Queahpama Keo. I have
been living in Simnasho for 3 13
years, and like living here. I like to
play basketball, hockey, softball,
and I like to take part in the
Longhouse activities. I want to be
a member of the Tribe because I
love to be around my people and I
am looking forward to living the
rest of my life on the reservation.

Warm Springs for three years. I
am enrolled in the Headstart
Daycare program, and have a lot
of friends there. I like to feed the
horses with my uncle Mark, I like
to play football, and play with my
friends. Like my brother Kahseuss,
I am Wasco, my mother's family
are Wasco, so Warm Springs will
always be my home. I am 39128

Virginia Cora Arthur A
57. I was born 122278 in
Toppenish, Washington, and my
mother is Annette Arthur Scott.
My grandparents are Larry Arthur
and Irene Wyena of Yakima; and
my great grandparents are Jessie
Anderson Arthur and McKinley
Arthur. I have lived in Warm Springs
for three years and am in school
at the Warm Springs Elementary.
I like to war dance, and am the
best reader in 1st grade. I now
read 2nd and 3rd grade work, and
I have received numerous awards
for being a good worker. My
mother, brother and sister are;
enrolled here, and I plan on living '
here where all of my relatives live.

High School. I was the handball
champion of 1985, MHS, I like to
run in marathons, and I won a
gold medal foralOK in 1981. lam
a member of the Shaker Church. I
am an honor roll student, I plan to
be a attorney one day, and I like
math, computers and art. I am

Yakima and Navajo.

school know me as "Estie," and I
love to go to school where I like to
write, draw, make jokes and sing.

and breaking), to do beadwork,
karate and meeting people. I am
proud of my Wasco descendancy.

life, and have attended Headstart
through the 5th grade here in
Warm Springs. I am a self manager,
I attend Sunday School at the
Presbyterian Church. I have been
in Culture Camp, Play T-ball, am
a webelo scout, I like to make
model railroads, travel by train,
bike riding and play chess. I make
keychains, choker, yarn baskets.

and have someone read to to me,
I like to draw and paint, and I like
trains. I will be learning about my
tribal history and traditions since
my mother is a teacher at the
grade school, and this will always

in Warm Springs almost all of my
life. I belong to the Longhouse
Religion, I like attending powwows
I am presently working for the
Fire Management Program during

Warm Springs in November, 1981.
I have received numerous awards
for perfect attendance in school,
student of the month. I am a
member of the Shaker Church. I
would like to be enrolled here,
because this is where I want to
live and grow up. My goal in life is
to go to college, to medical school
to be a doctor so I can help my

Adoption Referendum
Tuesday, May 20
at the
Community Center
8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
NOTICE FROM VITAL STATS:
The adoption referendum is set for May 20,
1986. You do not have to be registered to
vote, you must be 21 or married. The
adoption referendum requires that at least
50 percent of the eligible voters vote in this
election. There is a total of 1,430 eligible
voters, so we must have 715 voters vote in
this election. If you are not sure if you can
vote, lists are posted at the tribal administra
tion building, Macy's and the Warm Springs
Public Health Clinic. You may obtain
absentee ballots in the vital statistics office
if you are going to be gone May 20. Voting
will be held at the Warm Springs Community
Center conference room from 8 a.m. to 8
p.m.
