an enrolled mem ber of the
Confederated Tribes of W arm
Springs. He was a lifetime
resident of W arm Springs.
Leland attended schools in
W arm Springs and M adras and
the Chemawa Indian School.
He was employed by W arm
S p rin g s F o r e s t P r o d u c ts
Industries where he worked on
the greenchain.
He w as a w ell-k n o w n
bareback rider in the rodeo
circuits, a mem ber of the W arm
Springs Rodeo Association,
P ro R odeo Cowboys Associa
tion, Oregon R odeo Associa
tion and W estern States Indian
Rodeo Association.
He had special interests in
skiing, basketball, boxing,
hunting, fishing, leather craft
and the outdoors.
Surviving are his parents and
