For those who aren’t quite
up to running a marathon or
minijnarathon race, there is
the Xnita Benefit Run coming
up Saturday, April 17, at Kah-
Nee-Ta.
There are two courses—one
a 6.2 mile run and the other a 3
mile runfor fun. Both runs end
at Kah-Nee-Ta Village, the
same as in the Simnasho Mini-
Marathon. The race surface is
on blacktop.
Until April 9, the entry fee is
$5. The fees will rise to $7 after
April 9 and on the day of the
races. Runners must pick up
their packets before 11:45 a.m.
April 17. Registration closes at
11:30 a.m. No exceptions.

with the last bus leaving at 12
noon. The races begin at 1 p.m.
Runners in the 6.2 mile race
will be given identification
numbers, and the divisional
winners of the 6.2 mile run will
receive a special award. All
racers will receive a T-shirt.
While the 3 mile run is
strictly a “run for fun,” there
are five divisions in the men’s
and women’s 6.2 mile run— 13
& under, 14-18,19-29 and 40 &
over.
Pre-registration forms are
available at the Administrative
Service Center (Steno Pool),
and at the Spilyay Tymoo
office on the 2nd floor of the
old admin, building.
The race is to benefit the
steno pool secretaries for a
training retreat.

Three Sisters Classic April 18
If you weren’t ready for the
Simnasho Mini-Marathon, or
didn’t do as well as you’d
hoped, there’s plenty of time to
prepare for the upcoming
Three Sisters Classic.
The fourth annual run is
scheduled for Sunday, April
18, in Bend and the course is on
private land. There will be two
separate races—a one-half
marathon of 13.1 miles and a
6.2 mile course.

The Satus Longhouse will
hold its second annual 12
kilometer run (7.2 miles) on
Saturday, April 24. The race
will start and finish near the
S atu s L on g h o u se, S a tu s,
Washington. The starting time
is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
