Students awarded for outstanding citizenship

students at Warm Springs
Elementary on Februry 3. The

certificates in recognition for
their good conduct and good
citizenship. Counselor Ed Roly

manager of the Warm Springs
Forest Products.
The students receiving the
citizenship awards for January
include: M ichael Leecy,
kindergarten; Jessica Jacks,
first grade; Scott Moses,
second grade; Rhonda Ike,
third grade; Joselyn Moses,
fourth grade; Willard Foitra,
fifth grade; and Leon Tenorio,
sixth grade.

was also presented to the class
displaying the best behavior for
the month of January. Mr.
Michael McGinnis’ fifth grade
class received the trophy. They
will be treated to one hour’s
skating at the Community

Madras Junior High school
cafeteria Tuesday, February
23, 1982 from 5:30 until 7:00
p.m.
Tickets for the dinner will be
available in the Jr. High school
office beginning Februaiy 16.
Adults and students will be
charge $3.00 The charge for
will hold the trophy for one
month unless they win it again
in February.
During the school assembly,

given. BIA education specialist
Marlin Reimer announced
Miss Earline Anderson, sixth
grade teacher, as recipient of
the award. The plaque which
she will receive as soon as it is
ready is sponsored by Tribal
Council and the Confederated
Tribes of Warm Springs in
appreciation for contributions
to the children at the Warm
Springs Elementary school.

Community Center the crowds were treated to the “fin e art o f basketball” by local teams from the
community. The “She” Scholar won the tournament shutting out the “H e”Scholars. TheN orthE nd
Rustlers coached by player-coach “Chinn”Suppah played against the A llied Alien Beauties and their
referees, losing after a long hard game. I t was an evening o f entertainment fo r all who attended.
