Girls lose in volleyball playoff
Buffs scare Cascade
This year was the first time
the Madras White Buffaloes
gained a berth in the state play
offs in football since 1947, They
gave the state’s top-ranked
team a good scare, losing in the
final minutes to Cascade 13-7.
With just two minutes and
twenty seconds to go, and just
one time out left, Brooks
blocked a Cascade punt. The
Buffs took over on Cascade’s
26 yard line.
With time running out, the
Buffs made a desperation pass
into the end zone which was
picked off, giving Cascade the
narrow edge.
Madras scoring came on a
one-yard run by Stovall and
Gardner kicked the extra point.
