The Pi-Ume-Sha parade featured devil dancers who were practiced in keeping
the children in line by scaring the heck out of them.

The highlight of the Pi-Ume-Sha days celebration was Wasco
dancing. The seldom seen cougar dance pictured here opened the

presentation with Chief Nelson Wallulatum leading this and various
other Wasco dances.
Fascinated by it all Gibby Kalama, Jr. holds on to
his roach when the afternoon wind picked up.

guest Governor Victor Atiyeh visited with folks

Master of ceremonies Nathan Jim was at the microphone from dawn through half the
night. He still had enough energy to join in the “slow motion with instant replay” dance
on Sunday.
During one of the fun dances, men donned the ladies’
shawls for a graceful war dance and women borrowed
bustles to perform the men’s war dance.
