    Bobb and Conners win
Winning the golf tourna­
ment at the Yakima reservation
Levi Bobb and Cecil Connors
combined efforts and came out
champions during the first
week in April.
Their combined scores for
the first day was 70 and on the
second their score was 71. In
doing so they won a trophy and
some prize money. A team
from Colville, W ashington
came in second.
Levi and Cecil will enter the
Bay Area Championship golf
tournament which will be held
M ay 23 -2 4 , d u rin g th e
memorial day week-end in San
Jose, California.
P a r tic ip a n ts w ho w ill
com pete will come from
Canada, and throughout the
west coast. Levi placed second
in this tournament last year. “A
pretty big tournament.” Levi
said.
10,000 meter run to
be held In Sisters
The Kiwanis Club of Sisters
is sponsoring a 10,000 meter
road race and a three-mile fun
run on Saturday, June 13,
1981, during the Sisters Rodeo
Weekend.
Terry Squiemphen showed his style in saddle bronc riding which gave him a score o f 65 at Klamath
Falls A ¡¡-Indian Western States sanctioned rodeo, M ay 28. This ride gave Terry a secondplace win in
Klamath Falls and with the 1st place win in Tygh Valley (W S/R A ), Terry was leading the WSIRA
Saddle Bronc division. H e also is in the standings f o r All-A round fo r WSIRA.

registration fee is $7.00 and T-
shirts will be awarded to all
registrants. You can pick up
race forms at most local
sporting goods stores or call

more information. Otherwise,
you can register the day of the
race until 10:30 a.m. sharp!
All proceeds will go to
various Kiwanis community
and youth projects.
A rodeo parade at 10 a.m.,
Stampede Race at 11:00 a.m.,
the rodeo will get underway at 1
p.m. and the rodeo dance will
start at 9 p.m.

Fitness conference June 25-26
There will be a “Winning
through Fitness” conference
June 25 and 26 at the Warm
Springs Community Center.
The co n feren ce will be
sponsored by the Family and
Child Services departm ent.
There will be a charge for the
two-day affair.
The conference will cover
nutrition, sports and self-

speakers from Oklahoma and
Oregon State University as well
as other local and outside
agencies.
The conference, which has

the finest pari-mutuel racing in
