1980-A year to remember in Warm Springs

Work began on the Tribe’s hydro electric project in April.
Many people gathered to celebrate the grand opening of
the completely renovated alcohol center.
A new council was sworn in in May. Only
three councilmen returned from the last term.
We got a light dusting of St. Helen’s ash In
September.
Edith Danzuka retired after 40
years service.
We received another blue ribbon for our efforts in the
Grand Floral Parade

A new eatery, Deschutes Crossing, opened, giving us
another place to pig out.
