M Amrine of Ncwberg and formerly of Salem. Miss Amrine, a high school senior, has been awarded a scholarship to Willamette Univer sity where she will enter this fall as a piano major. Numbers to be played on the program will include the Im promptu in A Flat, Opus 90; Schu bert; Grande Piece Symphonique, Franck; Le Cirque, Turina; and compositions by Bach, MacDow cll, Villa-Lobas and others. Ice Cream Social Planned by Group An old-fashioned ice cream so cial is being sponsored by the sen ior high school group of the West minster United Presbyterian Church, Friday evening, May 3, at the church. Cake or pie with ice cream will be featured starting at 7 o'clock, with women of the church lending assistance to the young people.
