Non-renewal was based on rec-f 1 ommendation by Principal Law-L rence Page, Assistant Superin tendent and Curriculum Coordina tor George Henderson and Super intendent James W. King. Chairman of the board Is Wil liam R. Thomas. At a recent open meeting strong support was expressed by parents and students for Gainer's teach ing policies which were in dis agreement with those ordered by his superiors. Robert Leith Funeral Held SHERIDAN iSpcciall-Servicos for Robert Leith. 80. were held Wednesday.' at Pershall's Sheridan Funeral home, with interment in I Green Crest Memorial park. Robert Leith was born in Man son, Iowa. Aug. 13, 1876, and at tended schools there. He lived in Wyoming and Minnesota before moving to Sheridan in 1937. He married Hattie Becker Oct. 22, 1900. Library Grows LEBANON (Special) Juven ile fiction circulation jumped 321 in March over the previous month. Librarian Meli Carter reported to the Library Board this week. Her quarterly report showed a total circulation for the three month period of 8,582, with March the highest in the library's, history, with 3.344 books circulated. An increase of 209 in registration, bringing the total number of cards lo 547, was noted over the corre sponding period in 1956.
